VW Touran Headlining Retrim with Star Lights

This project shows a VW Touran. The headlining was retrimmed using black stretch suede. With star lights added for a custom finish.

This was only the customer’s second time retrimming a vehicle. The final result was brilliant. It shows what can be achieved with careful preparation and taking your time with the install.

• Vehicle: VW Touran

• Areas retrimmed:

  • Headlining

  • A-pillars

  • Small trim sections

• Material used: Black stretch suede

How Much Material Was Used

• Headlining: Approx. 2.5 metres

• A-pillars & trim: Approx. 0.5 metres

Used the same material across the headlining and pillars. Helps keep the interior looking consistent and well finished.

About the Installation

Even though this was only the customer’s second retrim project:

• The headlining was completed neatly before moving on to the pillars

• Stretch suede helped when working around curves and edges

• Taking time with the fitting helped achieve a clean finish

The addition of star lights gave the Touran a custom high-end look.
