T5 Retrim Using Two Colours of Stretch Suede
This customer project shows a VW Transporter T5. Two different colours of stretch suede were used. This created a clean, modern interior finish.
Aldo chose to use Charcoal on the A-pillars and Grey on the headlining. This added contrast while keeping the cabin light and balanced.
What Was Done
- Vehicle: VW Transporter T5
- Areas retrimmed:
- Headlining
- A-pillars
- Material used: Stretch Suede (two colours)
Colours & Quantities Used
- Grey (headlining): 2 metres
- Charcoal (A-pillars): 1 metre
Using a lighter colour on the roof helped keep the interior bright. The darker Charcoal on the pillars framed the space and tied in well with the rest of the trim.

This is a simple way to add detail without overcomplicating the interior.
About the Two-Colour Choice
Using two colours worked well on this T5 because:
- The lighter headlining keeps the cabin feeling open
- The darker A-pillars add contrast and definition
- Each area was retrimmed separately, making the job easier to manage
It’s a good option for Transporter owners who want something a bit different without going too bold.
