VW Jetta Headlining & Pillars Retrim
Dan took on a full interior refresh in his VW Jetta. Retrimming the headlining and all pillars using our black stretch suede.
What was trimmed
- Headlining
- A pillars
- B pillars
- C pillars

Material used
- 4 metres of black stretch suede
- Trim-Fix spray adhesive
How it went
Dan needed something that could:
- stretch around his pillars
- sit clean across his headliner
- and give a tidy, factory-style finish
The stretch suede worked well across both the headlining and the pillar shapes.
One thing he highlighted in his video was the 0.8mm thickness. This makes a big difference in two ways:
- it’s thin enough to help when refitting trims and panels
- but also flexible enough to work into curves and recesses, especially on pillars

Trim-Fix spray adhesive is designed for headlining’s and high-temperature interiors. It ensures a strong and reliable bond across the whole install.
Result
The finish came out clean and consistent across the full interior:
- smooth headlining
- tight edges around pillars
- no sagging or lifting
A big upgrade from the original interior.
Dan also said:
“Great DIY friendly material for my headlining re trim”

Dan filmed the full process, which is well worth a watch if you're planning a similar job:
Notes for anyone doing this job
- 4 metres was enough for headlining + all pillars on this model
- 0.8mm thickness helps with both refitting trims and working into curves
- Take your time with prep — it makes a difference
- Apply Spray adhesive evenly and don’t overdo it
- Stretch suede helps a lot around curves and edges
