Holden VF Calais Retrim (Gold Coast, Australia)
This project comes all the way from the Gold Coast in Australia. Lewis owns Saked Garage (@sakedgarage).
He retrimmed the headlining and pillars of a Holden VF Calais using black stretch suede.
The VF Calais has a large roof panel and visible pillar trims. Choosing a material that fits cleanly and consistently makes a big difference.

What Was Done
- Vehicle: Holden VF Calais
- Location: Gold Coast, Australia
- Areas retrimmed:
- Headlining
- Pillars
- Material used: Black Stretch Auto Suede
How Much Material Was Used
- Total used: 4 metres
Four metres allowed comfortable coverage of the headlining and pillar trims.

For larger saloons like the VF Calais, it's better to order a little extra.
For this build:
- Stretch suede helped when working across the wide roof panel
- Matching the pillars to the headlining kept the interior consistent
- The black went well with the tan coloured seats
Customer Feedback
