What You’ll Need

- Stretch Suede material (cut slightly larger than the panel)
- Trim-Fix spray adhesive
- A clean, dry surface (panel or headliner board)
- Scissors or a sharp blade
- Clean hands for smoothing
- Masking tape & protective sheet (to avoid overspray)

Step 1: Prepare the Surface

Remove any old fabric, glue, or foam from the panel.
Sand or lightly scrub if needed — the surface must be smooth, clean, and dry.
Wipe with a clean cloth to remove dust.

Step 2: Position the Suede

Place the suede over the panel to check coverage.
Leave at least 10-20 cm extra around the edges.
Mark any areas that will need cutting (holes, corners, curves).

Step 3: Apply Trim-Fix Adhesive

Shake the can well before use.
Hold 20-25 cm away from the surface.
Spray a light, even coat on the panel and the back of the suede. You want good coverage not total coverage.
Allow adhesive to become tacky (about 30–60 seconds) before bonding.
Tip: Work in sections — don’t spray the entire panel at once.

Step 4: Bond the Suede

Depending on the panel, start from the centre or the edge, press the suede onto the panel.
Smooth outward to remove bubbles and creases.
For curves and edges, gently stretch the suede while pressing into place.

Step 5: Finish Edges & Trim Excess

Wrap the extra suede neatly around the edges.
Apply more adhesive where needed for a secure hold.
Trim away excess with sharp scissors or a blade.

Step 6: Allow to Set

Leave the panel to dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated area.
Avoid heavy handling until the adhesive has fully cured.

If You Get Adhesive on the Suede
Do not try to wipe it while wet — this can smear and damage the fabric.
Allow the adhesive to go tacky/dry, then gently dab with a clean cloth or lightly brush with a suede
brush.
For stubborn spots, use a small amount of solvent designed for adhesive removal on a cloth, Test on a hidden area first.

Result: A smooth, professional suede finish ready to refit into the vehicle.
